LIGHTERMEN'S STRIKE
PERISHABLE CARGO RUINED AUSTRALIAN EGGS AND BUTTER. LONDON, December 6. Large consignments of Australian eggs and butter by the Otranto and Ferndale may be ruined as the result of the dockers’ dispute, lightermen refusing to handle them. This is most unfortunate as eggs at present are in the greatest demand at excellent prices.
