ECONOMIC BLIZZARD
FELT IN NEWFOUNDLAND POSSIBILITY OF INSOLVENCY. LONDON, December 28. Reports have reached London that there is a possibility of Newfoundland declaring insolvency. Anxiety is felt whether she can meet the interest on £18,000,000 of Government bonds due on January 1. jjr J. H. Thomas declares that he is aware that Newfoundland’s position is serious, being another proof how’ the economic blizzard is sweeping the world.
