SECOND DAY’S RESULTS JALOUX WINS SUMMER CUP. • (Per United Pkess Association.) AUCKLAND, December 29. ' The second clay of the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting was held in line weather, there being a fair attendance. The track was very hard, and there were fast times, including two track records. The totalisator handled £36,111 10s, compared with £56,517 on the second day last year—a decrease of £20,405. At the half-distance Jaloux moved up, and the order at the turn was Chromadyne, Pomp, Jaloux, Admiral Drake, Jaloux and Admiral Drake fought a great finish clear of Pegaway, who came fast, heading the remainder of the field. Sunny Sky withstood a strong challenge by Princess Bede, who headed King’s Knave Speedmint and United fell. ELECTRIC HANDICAP, Of 450sovs. Six furlongs. 4—Mr L. G.
