DOGS ON ST. CLAIR BEACH

TO THE EDITOR. Sue. —The general public would be interested to know why the bydaw in regard to the dog nuisance is not enforced or.whether a special by-law is to be framed as the need arises. To spend a day at St. Clair with any enjoyment is almost impossible, especially if one is accompanied by little children. Why should this be allowed? If there is a by-law in force to/prohibit those who own dogs from allowing them to molest children, scatter filth where their clothes have been placed and where picnic food is to bo oaten, and career in the water where the children are paddling, it should be enforced. A children's day is to be hold on Saturday. If the visitors to the beaches are to enjoy themselves these pests should be dealt with, and strong representations should be made to the council to enforce the by-laws which it frames, especially where the safety and health of the citizens arc at stake. —I am, etc., Htpat.
