THE SALERNI SYSTEM FUNDS FOR DEVELOPMENT (British Official Wireless.) (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) ' ’ RUGBY, December 16. (Received Dec. 17, at 5.5 p.m.) v Sir Eric Hainbro, at a luncheon in honour of Commenclatore Piero Salerni; who developed the process for low temperature carbonisation of coal, expressed his confidence in the Salerni system. He had decided himself to shoulder the responsibility for the provision of initial funds for the development of the system, which promised not only to restore prosperity to the British mining industry but to rid the country of srfioke and create a home supply of oil and motor fuels.
