CHRISTCHURCH WINS SHIELD.

CHRISTCHURCH, August 5. Although the annual Training College tournament was Tobbed of much of its interest owing to Christchurch having won the shield on the first day’s events, Dunedin regained some of its lost prestige to-day by winning the men’s hockey by three goals to nil and the football by six points to three. By winning the ladies hockey by four goals to one Christchurch won the tournament by five events to two.
