Goddard admitted that Reid had allotted 1250 shares in Mungana Mines, Ltd., to him “ in consideration of friendship, advice, and assistance which Goddard had" given him in mining undertakings.” M'Cormack admitted that his interest in the Mungan’a mines began in December, 1917. Under a verbal agreement with Reid, M'Connack received £10,596 for his 3476 shares, which was paid to the company by the Queensland Government. Mr M'Gill also tendered answers by M'Cormack showing that he had paid various substantial sums to Theodore between April, 1922, and July, 1925, the largest of which was £I6OO. Theodore did not give receipts for these. Theodore in turn confirmed the receipt of these sums. The case was adjourned.
