MIGHT HAVE LIVED
RUSSIAN ROYAL FAMILY LONDON, July 21. The Russian Royal Family could have been saved from butchery and given sanctuary in England but for the objections of the British Labour Party. This statement (says the Daily Sketch) is made in a book which is shortly to be published. ' The" authoress is Mrs Harold Knowling, daughter of Sir George Buchanan, the former Ambassador to Russia. She declares that her father was aware of the --grave danger threatening the Czar and other members of the Royal Family, and had arranged to get them out of the country by way of Archangel, so that they might take refuge in Britain. The plan had to be abandoned upon the representation of Mr Lloyd George that the Labour Party would object to their coming. Mrs sKnowling declares that she is “ determined to clear her late father’s name.” ,
