REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, July 17. A boisterous westerly wind was blowing to-day. Frequent rain showers were experienced during the morning but the conditions improved after mid-day. The barometer is rising and now registers 30.15. WELLINGTON, July 17. The weather was beautifully fine and springlike to-day. The wind was from the north. CHRISTCHURCH, July 17. The weather to-day was bright and sunny with a light air from the southwestern the morning and a strong breeze from the west nor’-west in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 50deg. The barometer is going up, the reading to-night being 29.70 in.
