NEW ZEALAND LODGE. (From Ocr Own Correspondent.) • LONDON, May 29. The accompanying extract is from a recent issue of the Freemason: — One of the youngest of that small group of lodges which form a ing link with the great, dominions; New Zealand Lodge, 5175—consecrated on Anzae Day, 1930—has ,in that short space more than fully justified the hopes which led to its foundation, being a real “ anchorage ” for our brethren from “down under. ” It has strengthened its position by establishing close and active connection with the: dominion, and the Grand Lodge of New Zealand has not been slow in appreciating this “ home from home” for its brethren. At the first anniversary, meeting held at Pagaui’s Restaurant, practical proof of this regard was shown by the presentation by the Grand Lodge of a handsome and unique set of gavels and sounding blocks made from various timbers grown in New Zealand. Brp. William F. Willis, the new master, who is P.G.St.B. of New Zealand, invested his ofilcers as might be expected of one already well acquainted with the duties of the post tion: —Bros. Hal Williams, S.W.; H. T. B. Drew, J.W.; G. F. Michie, treasurer; Cecil J. Wray, secretary; T. H. Thatcher, D.C.; C. V. Milner, A.D.C.; A. E. Porritt, S.D.; lan H. Maclean,. J.D.; T. B. Ching, 1.G.; Chappie Gill-Carey. and N. C. Sheridan,: stewards ; T. E. Wilson, Tyler. Gifts from New Zealand lodges received by the secretary, Mro. Wray, during his recent yisit were presented.
