SUSPENDED MEMBERS

DISORDER IN HOUSE OF COMMONS MOTION ON SUBJECT OF SALARIES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 15, (Received July 16, at 5.5 p.ra.) The Prime Minister (Mr MacDonald) stated in the House of Commons that the Government proposed to give facilities at an early date for a motion on the subject of payment of salaries to members who in future might be suspended from the service of the House. Following the recent disorder in the House the opinion has been growing among members of all parties that additional penalties for disorderly behaviour are desirable, and the Prime Minister’s announcement was foreshadowed by consultations with the party leaders on the exact terms of the motion.
