THEFT OF HANDBAGS
CHARGE AGAINST WAITRESS. (Pee United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 13. Violet Ivanhoe, aged 27, a waitress, charged in the Police Court with stealing a woman’s handbag and its contents, valued at £7, pleaded guilty. The police said that many bags had been stolen recently from shoppers, and the accused admitted 11 that the police could prove. She also said there were many others. The accused was r?" -ded in custody.
