A meeting of the committee of the Brighton Ratepayers’ Association was held in the school hall on Wednesday evening, the president (Mr Robert Wales) presiding over a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs C. Hislop. Gi Hunter, and R. Run-" cimnn A letter from the Taieri County Conn cil was read regarding the parking of cars, and it was notified that the draft by-laws were to hand. An opportunity of discussing them would be given tomorrow at a conference of the organisations concerned —Messrs Wales and Aslin to represent the association. Four now members were elected.
