The weather for the second day of the Ascot meeting was again fine, although rain early in the morning caused an abandonment of the royal procession, the King and Queen and other members of .he Royal Family arriving by cars. There was an enormous crowd. One feature of the meeting was the success of the totnlisator, which was installed for the first time this year. The turnover on the first two days totalled £IIO,OOO. THE ROYAL HUNT CUP. WON BY GRAND SALUTE. LONDON, June 17. The Royal Hunt Cup, 2830sovs, seven furlongs and 165 yards, resulted: —Grand Salute 1, Ellcnborough 2, Gracedale 3. Eighteen started. Won by half a length, with a length and a-half between second and third.
