CONCERT AT OPOHO

AS EXCELLENT ENTERTAINMENT^ The Opoho Presbyterian Church had a packed house ion Thursday night when a very successful concert was presented in aid Of the church funds. The programme, which was of a very high standard, was excellently varied, and embodied vocal, instrumental, and humorous elocutionary numbers, all of which found instant approval with the audience. The soloists of the evening were;—Alisa Ruby Baxter, Misses Biggs, Mrs D. Carty, and Miss Mary Pratt. Recitations were given by Miss Anita Bowler and Mr Roy Irvine. Highland and fancy dress dances were presented by Miss Nettie Pullar and Miss Gordon, with/ Mr Gordon Crighton as piper. Violin solos were contributed by Mr Jack Buswell and Mr • Richmond Braumann. The following items were also rendered:—-Sketch by Miss Alice Campbell and Mr Frank Gaston; pianoforte solo. Miss M. M'Connell; whistling solo, Mr Richard Kelly; Scottish selections, Mr G. Currie; ventriloquist entertainment, Mr Pritchard. Miss R. Craig acted as accompanist.
