BAKEHOUSE DESTROYED (Peb United Press Association.) PAHIATUA, June 12. A fire destroyed the bakehouse and also the adjoining residence of Mr D. A. Fraser at Hamua early this morning. The owner is Miss Bourke, of Wanganui. The insurances total £7OO. . A LOCAL CALL. Shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday the City Fire Brigade received a call to a *ix-roomed wooden dwelling in Dundaa street, where a fire had broken out in the lining of a wall. The outbreak was traced to a defective asbestos tube vent leading from a gas fire. The house, which suffered slight damage, is occupied by Mr C. B. Cassey, and the contents of the dwelling *re insured for £3OO with the New Zealand office. '
