“HAPPY-GO-LUCKY O’FLYNN”
At His Majesty’s Theatre next Saturday Mr Ronald Riley will introduce “ Happy-Go-Lucky O’Flynn ” and his simple creed of “ do pood for others ” to Dunedin audiences. Mr Riley has served under some of the comedy- masters of the English stage and has played an amazingly large number and variety of roles. Among the artists supporting him are Doreen Scott, who aspires to comedy work of the Marie Tempest order: and Marie D’Alton, who has played with two great Williams—Gillette and Favcrsham. Joseph Lanphier, who commenced with Tom Pollard of blessed memory, returns to the Dominion after years spent abroad. J. Vincent White, a character actor of the Allan Doone Company, makes a reappearance after several years. Bernard Beeby, Meriam Osbourne, and Stanley Brogden are young players who can be depended on to give a good account of themselves, the former being also the possessor of a robust baritone. Bright intervals will be a feature of the show, during which Zara, a young soprano, will be heard in the latest ballads. The plans will be open at the Bristol to-morrow morning. /
