The conversion of eels into fish paste is the latest idea of an enterprising returned soldier, who seeks capital for starting the industry (states the Wanganui Herald). His idea is to purchase the tunas from the Maoris, _ who are skilled in the capture of this Native delicacy. The aid of the WanganuiWaitotara Patriotic Association was sought in this connection, but that body, while expressing admiration for the_ desire of the applicant to launch out in a new line which he believed would prove profitable, decided that it could not assist.
