FIRE ON STEAMER

The South African steamer Aloe arrived at Port Louis (Mauritius) with her bunkers and cargo of Australian timber ablaze. Tugs beached her in 20 feet of water, but strenuous efforts made no impression on the fire, which has now reached the saloon deckhouse.
