EMPIRE TOBACCO
A PREFERENTIAL DUTY REQUEST TO CHANCELLOR. (British Official Wireless.) (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) RUGBY. April 9. A request that a preferential duty on Empire tobacco should be fixed at threefourths of the duty on foreign leaf has been made to the Chancellor of the Exchequer by the Tobacco Federation of the British Empire.
