H. Carr, manager of the Otago and Southland branches, who is retiring after long service with the company. Mr G. S. Warwick, on behalf of the staffs of Dunedin, Invercargill, and Oamaru, presented Mr Carr with a small memento as a mark of the esteem in which he was held and wished him many years in which to enjoy his retirement. Mrs Carr was also the recipient of a suitable gift. Mr Carr suitably replied, sincerely thanking the members of the staff for their kind sentiment and practical expression of goodwill.
