T. G. Hobday, principal of the Royal Veterinary College, Camden Town. Among the unusual tasks performed are the provision of false teeth for dogs; artificial legs jointed on springs so that the dog can trot without jar; eyes of glass or celluloid for both dogs and cats, and new youth for old dogs by the Steinach and Voronoff methods. Princes’ pedigree animals and peasants’ mongrels get equal treatment there. A cocker spaniel, which was relatively as old as a man of 113. and had become apathetic and semi-blind, was able to do field work again after the Steinach operation. Improved sight was the most striking change.
