THE MONOWAI’S RECORD. FINE WEATHER PASSAGE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 25. The Monowai entered Wellington heads at 1.47 p.tn. to-day, lowering the Malolo’s record for the Tasman crossing by 58 minutes. The Monowai left Sydney heads at 5 p.m. last Thursday, and the total time from heads to heads Was two days eighteen, hours forty-four minutes. She encountered a heavy swell and northerly winds for the greater part of the voyage.
