In very boisterous weather the Kiwi Defence Rifle Club commenced the first competition of No. 3 Match on Saturday over 500 and 600 yards (10 shots and two optional sighters). Nearly 30 members were in attendance, many of whom had their first experience of a tricky fish-tail wind. Scores were not on the same high level ’as. in previous shoots, an exception being the total of 92 off the rifle hy Rifle-’ man R. K. Johnston.
