REFORM PARTY CANDIDATE

A representative gathering of electors in the Dunedin South electorate waited upon Mr D. C. Cameron yesterday with the request that he should allow himself to be nominated in the Reform Party interests at the next general election. Mr Cameron stated his willingness to place himself in the hands of the Reform Party supporters, and assured the deputation that, whether selected as the official Reform candidate or not, (his efforts would be directed towards returning the party to power. Mr Cameron was born in Dunedin, and has been a resident of St. Kilda for the past 26 years. He served for a number of years as a councillor, and is an exMayor of St. Hilda.
