ROTORUA AT WELLINGTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua arrived at Wellington on Saturday evening from London and Southampton. The vessel Is two days ahead of schedule. The Botorua Is due at Port Chalmers to-morrow afternoon to discharge a large Quantity of London cargo. CANADIAN CRUISER LEAVES MONTREAL. Cable advice received states that the CanaCruiser left Montreal on November 25 with Canadian cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Tlmaru and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about January 7 and at Dunedin about January 18. WIRELESS PROM TIMABU. The captain of the Shaw, Savlll liner Tainul. which left Napier on November 20 for London, via Panama, has reported by radio that fine weather has been experienced since leaving, and that all are well on board. The vessel expected to arrive off Pitcairn Island early cn Saturday morning. . THE CITY OP DELHI. The _A. and A. Line has received cabled news that the chartered steamer City of Delhi cleared New York on November 19 and Newport News on November 22 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She Is due at Auckland on December 21. FORT HUNTER FROM NEW YORK. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Hunter York, arrived at Auckland yesterday. She has cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunadln. The freight for Dunedin will be transhipped at Wellington. PERSONAL ITEMS. Wjille, chief engineer on the motor ship Westralla, arrived at Wellington last Tuesday by the Ullmaroa. He Intends to be In New Zealand about six or seven weeks. The Union Company’s new mall steamer Monowal, which during the past three weeks has been under conversion from a two class P. and O. liner into a three class vessel with increased accommodation, went out Into the stream this morning to have her compasses adjusted. As the time for getting the ship ready was limited about 300 men were engaged on her and a considerable amount of overtime was worked. The Monowal sails for San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon, SALE OF THE HIMITANGI. (Per United press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 29. The coastal steamer Hiroltangt has been sold to the Anchor Company for the general coastal trade of this company. She leaves for Nelson on Monday , Captain Wahlstrom has command of the vessel. The Progress was an arrival yesterday from Port Waikato, via ports. She will load genera! cargo to-day and sail this evening for Tlmaru, Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading for New Plymouth and Port Waikato. Tho Calm arrived yesterday from Wanganui, via ports. She will sail to-day for Bluff and Port Craig, and will return to Dunedin on Thursday to load general cargo for Tlmaru. The Opthl, which arrived yesterday from northern ports, is timed to sail to-night for Oamaru, Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. The Walkawa Is due at Lyttelton on December 19 from Los Angeles, via Papeete and Napier. She will sad later for Dunedin. Nelson and New Plymouth. The tanker Athelqueen arrived at Wellington on Saturday from San Pedro. The vessel Is under charter to the Union Company, and will unload her bulk oil cargo at Wellington. The Corlnthlc Is due at Wellington on December IS from . Southampton and London, She will disembark North Island passengers and land malls at Wellington, and is to sail the same day for Lyttelton, where she is due on December 16. The Corlnthlc will complete discharge at Port Chalmers and Bluff. The tanker Scottish Heather, from San Francisco, arrived at Auckland on Saturday morning. Her only other New Zealand discharging port is Wellington, The Government lighthouse steamer Matal has left Auckland In continuation of her voyage to the northern lights. She Is due back at Wellington on December 5. MOTOR SHIP MAUI POMARE. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise that the Government motor ship Maul Fomare Is due at Dunedin on Wednesday from Samoa and Niue Island, via Wellington, to discharge a quantity of fruit. She will sail hence for Lyttelton and Auckland to complete discharge. ANOTHER NEW MATSON LINER. A third new liner, similar to the two already under construction, has been ordered by the Matson Line. With a displacement of 25,885 tons, the new vessel will he 632 feet in 'length, over all, and will cost over £2,000,000 There will be nine decks, and accommodation for 800 passengers. Two outdoor swimming tanks, a full-sized tennis court, and gymnasium will be features. Twin propellers will give the liner a speed of 21 knots.
