MINIATURE GOLF.
The novelty entertainment provided at the Plaza Theatre in the form of miniature . goif has created considerable interest. The public always appreciates anything of a novel nature, and the establishment of the course is justified by the fact that large numbers are attending the theatre and deriving every amusement and recreation from a sport which offers some decidedly unusual difficulties to those who participate in- it for the first time The hazards provide a striking variety and as the game progresses there are some difficult rises to master, funnels •to be passed through and a bridge to be crossed. There are two greens.. where the element of chance enters to some extent into the game, as the ball has to ■be played up a steep rise into one of three holes in one case and only one in the other. -Constant practice makes these more easy to master. One has only to watch the players in action to realise that the course h,as a fascination nil its own. The whole course is most attrac-
tive and very striking, as it resembles the genuine golf course to a marked degree.
