Mrs Alice Fishwick, her son {aged eight), and her daughter (aged four) were fpund dead in a laundry attached to their home at Mayfield, near Newcastle, to-night. The room was filled with gas, and the trio were in their night clothes. The husband, who is a taxi driver, returning from work found the place locked up. He eventually broke into the laundry and made the tragic discovery.' He is unable to account for the deaths. Although the mother was peculiar lately she had no financial worries. ANOTHER GAP VICTIM. SOLICITOR’S BODY FOUND. SYDNEY, October 5. (Received Oct. 5, at 5.5 p.m.) The battered body of a city solicitor, William Listner, aged 35, was recovered at The Gap, Watson’s Bay. His hat, coat, and walking stick were found at the top of the cliff last Monday, and a note was left indicating his intention to commit suicide. Deceased was formerly a teacher in Tasmania. WESTERN AUSTRALIAN TRAGEDY. BODIES FOUND IN WELL. PERTH, October 5. Later he found a note in his wife’s writing saying that their bodies would be found in the well.
