EXHIBITION TN AMERICA. AN AUSTRALIAN PROTEST. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, September 29. (Received Sept, 30, at 8.30 p.m.) Following four years of effort by the Australian Office to stop exhibitions of the hulk Success in Canada and the United States as an Australian convict ship, when actually the vessel was a prison ship in Australia for only a brief period, Mr H. E. Brookes (CommissionerGeneral for Australia) has received assurances from Governor Roosevelt, of New York State, that an effort will be made to stop the misleading advertisements and exhibitions on the ground that they are -untruthful and tend to injure Australia’s reputation.
