BOMBS FROM UNKNOWN PLANE. DROPPED ON MINING AREA. (United Press Association.) (By Electrio Telegraph—-Copyright.) VANCOUVER, August 11. (Received August 12, at 8 p.m.) Two airmen in a monoplane bombed a coal mining area around Providence, Kentucky, where strikes have' tied up properties since April. Nine' bombs loaded with dynamite and charged with iron slugs were dropped, but only two exploded. There were no casualties, although one exploded perilously near a group of workmen. Intense excitement followed the visit of the unknown plane, which departed northward. The crashing of bombs could be heard for miles, and the town was thrown into uproar.
