HOCKEY.

ASSOCIATION MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Otago Hockey Association Executive was held last evening in the YM.GA. Mr Hinton occupied the chair, and there were also present Messrs Bell field, Hanning, Harris, Sew Hoy, M'Clatchy, Twose, Dey. Woodfield, and Pickard. A'communication was received with regard to the Hatch Cup match. The Canterbury Association asked that the match be played in Ashburton during the school holidays. It was decided to play a 'representative game between. Otago and North Otago on August 23, at Dunedin. The South Canterbury Association extended an invitation to senior'and junior representative teams to play at Timaru on August 30. . The Match Committee reported that the Albany Club had a lead of four points with only one more) match to play.—lt was decided to close the competition, declaring Albany the winners. It was decided to hold the senior seven-a-side tournament next Saturday, entries to close to-morrow. It was also decided to hold the junior eeven-a-side on August 23, and a junior trial on August 16. JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES.
