Remnants of the old fortifications -which Used to encircle Paris are becoming more and more difficult to find. Many of the old gateways have disappeared, and where once were moats are blocks of apartment houses. Some vestiges of the old fortifications can still be seen, but the work of 4atnolishiiur these is soon to commence.
