ESTABLISHMENT IN DOMINION. FARMERS’ UNION REJECTS 1 PROPOSAL. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, June 17. A proposal that the Government be aeked to conduct State lotteries for the upkeep of hospital and charitable aid boards was submitted to the Farmers’ Umon conference, this evening, but after a brief debate was thrown out. Mr J. Pow was proceeding to read particulars of the State lottery ‘run by the Wueensland Government when a delegate objected to anything being introduced on penalt of someone not present.
