CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. ) . , (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, June 17. The weather was showery at Auckland this morning, but fine in the afternoon. The wind was moderate from the southwest. The barometer reading is 30.20 in. and it is rising. WELLINGTON. Jjm e 17. To-day has been bright and sunny, with a light southerly wind, CHRISTCHURCH. June 17. After a gale and rain during the night, the morning broke with 11 degrees of frost. The day wag perfect, the sun shining from a cloudless sky. with a light air from the south-west. temperature was 48 degrees. The barometer- is steady at 30,05. The night is clear, calm, and bitterly cold.
