TOURIST ATTRACTIONS.

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN. VALUE OP THE NEWSPAPERS. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, June 16. The rumoured curtailing of the publicity vote was referred to in an interview with the Minister in Charge of the Department (Mr P. A. de la Perrelle). “ The Government recognises,” said Mr de la Perrelle, “ that" it must spend money on advertising our splendid attractions. We have the goods to offer. There is no doubt about that. We have in New Zealand, some very excellent daily and weekly newspapers, and many copies go abroad. Since taking charge of the Publicity Department I have been agreeably surprised to find that the newspapers are - jnst as keen to push our attractions as the department is itself. That is a fine spirit, arid we are getting full value for the money expended.”
