MORNINGTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
v ~ ° Mr F. L. Lawrence presided at the month|y meeting of the Mornington School Committee. -There were present Messrs Osborne, Haig, Tombs, Brown; Sainsbury, and the headmaster (Mr G. A. Turner), The secretary was instructed to ’ write to the Education Board regarding-the price of a.piano for the school, Mr Haig,'trustee for the school savings bank, presented the headmaster (Mr G, A. Turner) with a cheque for £B, this amount to be used for ' a junior free library. The resignation of Mr G. H. Ferens was received with regret. Owing to the .'number of teams entered for the Association foot'ball, the headmaster was empowered to purchase 20 jerseys and sufficient sashes to equip the remaining teams, the jerseys to become the property of the school, ihe headmaster’s report showed the present roll as 038. . The savings baiik deposits to date were £l6B. Mr P. L. Lawrence sent an assortment of rockery plants for the school garden. .The following sub-committee was appointed to draw up a report, on the improvements to the gymnasium:—Messrs Collier, Brown, and .Lawrence.
