There was a large attendance at the weekly meeting of the Radiant Health Club on Monday last. The president (Mrs Brooks) presided, and introduced Mr Terry as the speaker for the evening. Mr Terry, who is a well-known dietitian, touched briefly on various food values. The combination of foods, he said, should be to replenish the waste which went on continually in the body. Every person should have a certain reserve force which was Obtained only by the free use of proper natural foods and sunlight. Vegetables and fruit should be used abundantly in their season, as it was at that time that the system required them. When possible the skins of fruit and the outside leaves of vegetables should be eaten, as in these were tile most healthful properties. In most cases food, and especially tea, coffee, etc., should be allowed to cool before being taken. Many questions were asked by those present and kindly anewered by Mr Terry. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to him for Ills interesting address.

I Excavations in Nida, a suburb of Frankfort, Germany, and once a permanent Roman military camp, have brought to light an elaborate Roman helmet dating from the end of the seepnd century of our era. The helmet is richly decorated with, plastic and engraved bronze ornaments, including busts representing the four seasons, a bust of Minerva, and four snakes. The helmet has been added to the Roman exhibits in the Frankfurt Historical Museum. Knilangala burns brightly to the last particle, cleanly, and without soot.—Advt.
