LATE LORD ASHTON

RELATIVE IN AUSTRALIA. CLAIMS TO BE FIRST COUSIN. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, June 15. (Received June 16, at 0.6 a.m.) There has been an interesting development here following the announcement from Christchurch that Mr R. Cape Williamson, a local dentist, claimed to be the only surviving blood relative, a second cousin, of the late Lord Ashton, whose estate is believed to be worth between £30,000,000 and £40,000,000. The Sydney Morning Herald has located and interviewed Henry Cape Williamson, of Cremorne, Sydney, who claims to be a first cousin of the late Lord Ashton. “ Lol 'd Ashton’s father, James Williamson, and my father, George Williamson, were brothers,” he said. " I can scarcely believe that Lord Ashton died without a will. He has a daughter Ella, married to Lord Peel. I resided in New Zealand for many years, and was assistant to a number of prominent medical men'.”
