A special committee was appointed to make arrangements for the twenty-sixth anniversary of the lodge, when a reunion of past and present members is to be held. Reports were received from the S.JW If J.. Hilton, on the work and conduct of tile juvenile temple. The item for the evening was young members’ night, and an interesting and enjoyable programme was carried out. The. weekly meeting of the, Hope of Lodge was held in the Baxter Hall, Bro, J. Restieaux, C.T., presiding oyer a large attendance of members and visitors from Rescue, All Nations’, and Hope of Dunedin Lodges, who were given a cordial welcome. A vote of sympathy was passed to Sister Mason in her recent bereavement. The programme for the evening was in the hands of the C.T.. the following members contributing towards tht programme:—Sister Mrs Pauli temperauce item), Bro. E. J. lies (solo), Bro. Hilton (solo) Sister Steedman (solo), Sister Greig (recitation), Bro. Cromarty (recitation). Bro. Restieaux (solo), Bro. W. A. lies (reading). A vote of thanks was accorded to the visitors and to the entertainers, to which Bro. W. A. lies (Rescue), Bro. Cromarty (All Nations), and Sister Steedman (Hope of Dunedin) responded. The Ever Hopeful Temple held its weekly meeting on Monday last in the Caversham School gymnasium, V.T. Sister M. Lockhart presiding (in the absence of the C.T.) over a fair attendance of members and visitors. Sister Giles (superintendent) was in charge. Sister Giles welcomed the visitors and the chief templars from the Rescue and Hope oL Caversham Lodge, to which Bro. W. G. lies (Rescue) and Bro. J. Restieaux (C.T. of Hope of Caversham) responded. The Star of the South Juvenile Temple hold the weekly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, King Edward street, on Tuesday, C.T. Bro, T, Brooks presiding over a large attendance of members and visitors. Sevcral_ members contributed songs and recitations, which were well received. Bro. James Hilton (superintendent) was in charge. The weekly meeting of the Sunshine Junior Lodge was held in the Church of Christ Sunday School Hall on Friday Sister Meryl Hollis, chief templar, presiding over a good attendance of members and visitors from the Hope of Caversham and Rescue Lodges. The silver seal degree was conferred on one member. Reports were received from sick, visiting and concert committees. After business, competitive games were held, all present Items were given by Sister Billie Robinson (monologue) and Sister M. Peats (recitation), which were well received. The meeting was in charge of Sister D. Sell (superintendent).
