OVERHAUL INCREASES SPEED. HEADY FOR ATLANTIC FLIGHT. \ (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, May 21. Squadron-leader Kingsford Smith states that the Southern Cross resembles a new pin. Her overhaul has added seven miles an hour to her speed. She will be ready for the Atlantic flight in three weeks’ time. The second pilot will be Mr Van Dyk, a Dutchman, and the wireless operator will be Mr John Stallage, who accompanied the Canberra when she found the Southern Cross when she was lost.
