THE TRAVIS BEQUEST.

DISPOSAL OF THE FUNDS. (Special to Daily Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 22. Although £250 from the VV H. Travis estate lias been 'given to the Dominion Cancer Campaign Fund for research at Otago University, the rest oi the income from the bequest of about £4OOO will tie used to establish a special department for research into tuberculosis and cancer at the Christchurch Hospital if the nego tiations now in progress between the trustees of the estate and prominent Christchurch doctors come to fruition Mr Travis left the money with the pro vision that it be applied towards di a covering cures for these two diseases He was a resident of Christchurch, martihis money there, and the trustees.
