OBITUARY

MRS MARY RIDDOCK. The death occurred at the Talboya Home yesterday of Mrs Mary Riddoek, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday last, when she was visited by friends at the home, and when she was also the recipient of a congratulatory telegram from Sir Joseph Ward as Prime Minister. Mrs Riddock, who arrived in Dunedin in 1874, and lived almost continuously at North-East Valley, entered the institution scarcely more than three years ago when an accident to her leg made it difficult for her to look after herself without assistance.
