LABOURER AWARDED DAMAGES. i?ER United Press Association.; AUCKLAND, May 21. Damages amounting to £B6O in compensation for injuries suffered as the result of a motor cycle accident at Point Chevalier on July 10, 1928, were awarded by a jury in the Supreme Court to Robert James Paul, labourer, of New Lynn, against the Auckland City Council. The plaintiff alleged careless and negligent driving on the part of the motorman of a municipal bus. The sum of £l5O was claimed for 'medical expenses, £2lO for loss of wages, and £SOO general damages. The injuries were received as the result of a collision between the plaintiff’s motor cycle and a municipal bnt.
