SALE TO GOVERNMENT. DEVELOPMENT AT INQUIRY. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) BRISBANE, May 15. Inere has been an interesting development at the inquiry into the Mungana and Chillagoe mining affairs, in which the former Premier of Queensland (Mr J- M’Cormack) is concerned. Counsel for Air M'Cormacb obtained an injunction restraining the Royal Commissioner from producing or disclosing the whole or part of Mr M'Cormack’s bank account. A special- sitting of the Full Court has been arranged, at which the legal position will be.argued. At Brisbane, on the 9th inst., evidence ot Mr M Cormack’s interest in mining ventures—was given before the Royal Commission which is inquiring into the sale of the Mungana leases to the Queensland Government in 1921 at the tim.6 that Mr was Premier, stated that the Government paid £40,000 for the leases, and that Mr -M Cormack held a considerable number of shares in them.
