BRIBERY ALLEGATIONS
INQUIRY BY A JUDGE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) CANBERRA, May 12. (Received May 12, at 10 p.m.) The Prime Minister' announces that Mr Justice Dethridge has been appointed to inquire into the allegation of bribery concerning certain members of the Federal Public Works Committee. A message received on Thursday read as follows; A startling allegation of bribery was disclosed by the Prime Minister (Mr J. H. Scullin) in the House of Representatives to-day. He stated that Mr Roland Green, M.P., who was a member of the Public Works Committee, had informed him that everv member of that committee except MrGreen himself had accepted a bribe from an unnamed man who desired a decision ,in favour of “ A ” class broadcasting stations in a claim for conlpenstation from the Government following the taking over of those °
