AMERICAN IMMIGRATION LAWS. Another illustration of the harsh American immigration laws was revealed by the arrival at Boston lately from England of a young woman who. because of the unbending immigration officials, has had to take a 6900 miles husbnndless honeymoon. She is Mrs Lily Hndfield, an English girl, who on a recent visit to America, married an American, Mr Samuel Hadfield. . , Unsentimental immigration officers insisted that the law should be carried our tp the letter, and that at the expiration of her six months’ permit Mrs Hadfield would have to return to England. She bad then only been married a few weeks The bride was forced to sail without her husband, and take her chance of coming hack for a permanent stay. She has now returned, she hopes for good, if the immigration officials will be Wnd.
