The tanks first used in the Great War were the suggestion made in October, 1914, ,by a British oflicer, Lieutenantcolonel E. D. Swinton, R.E. Now a German inventor is claiming that in 1913 he designed a tank which was demonstrated in Berlin. liaitangata is free from dross or stone and burns cleanly to the last without soot —Advt.
