FIRES.

POST OFFICE AND STORE DESTROYED. (Pee United Press Association.! WELLINGTON, May 7. A fire which broke out late on Monday night completely destroyed the combined store-and, post" office at Tawa Flat, a wooden building, of one floor, containing eight rooms, and occupied bv Frederick Richardson and hife wife and family. The stock, fittings, and furniture in the building were owned by Mr Richardson, the stock and fittings being insured for £250. and the furniture and effects for the same amount. Richardson is a f«rly heavy loser by the fire. The building was owned by Mr J. R T Roxborough, of Dunedin.
