LICENSE ENDORSED. (From: Ock Own Correspondent.) LONDON, February 13, At Marlborough Street Police Court on February 7 Mrs A. P. F. Chapman (nee Miss Gertrude Lowry) was summoned for dangerous driving in Regent street and failing to stop at a policeman's signal Mrs Chapman was driving with her husband at the time of the alleged offences. Mr M. D. Lyon, the Somerset batsman, defended her. She was fined £7 and £3 costs, and her license endorsed and suspended on the first .summons. The second one was withdrawn. Three previous convictions were mentioned. It was claimed for the defence that the monument of Quintin Hogg and another obstruction hid: the policeman from view.
