Dr Doris Gordon, secretary, stated today that the obstetrical appeal campaign all over New Zealand could not be closed for several weeks yet. The Auckland executive did not anticipate being ready with a provincial assessment until well in April. Otago was only now opening up committees in the outlying centres. In the Wellington and Canterbury districts, however, the work was more advanced, and the committees there might be released by April 7 or 10. The executive officers of the committees, however, must be asked to retain their offices till the end of April. The bank account of the local funds would be kept open till the end of April. Early in May qll moneys would be sent to the treasurer of the Obstetrical Society for transmission to the Medical School authorities.
